17th Apr’ 21, BMW Strategic Designer Sebastian Gier delivered a thought-provoking iConnect session introducing 10 ways of how design drives innovation and progress. Sebastian Gier is a strategic designer who designs brand-shaping and positive human experiences. Besides designing future digital mobility experiences at BMW Group he is also running the Design drives Podcast where he interviews design leaders from around the world about the impact of design. In the session, he explained the ways are discovering and exploring, building and playing, immersing and observing, emphasizing and communicating, unlearning, strategizing, building bridges, visualizing and transparency, creating confidence and reducing risk and ultimately empowering others. The session was intertwined with the conceptual theory, live examples and the experiences of professionals. Budding designers learnt in-depth ploys and techniques that reflect how Design drives innovations.
